"If you're trying to achieve, there will be roadblocks. I've had them; everybody has had them. But obstacles don't have to stop you. If you run into a wall, don't turn around and give up. Figure out how to climb it, go through it, or work around it." -- Michael Jordan
Michael Hanasab has been an associate attorney at Phillips, Lerner, Lauzon & Jamra (PLLJ) since 2005 when Michael was in his final year at Loyola Law School. Michael had previously been a summer clerk at PLLJ during the Summer of 2004. Michael's experience at PLLJ has instilled in him the best of what PLLJ has to offer its clients-practical resolution skills and the aptitude for aggressive litigation when necessary. Michael's versatile personality allows him to be a tenacious member of a litigation team while persevering in efforts to facilitate a settlement.
Michael graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2003, earning a bachelor of arts degree in Law and Society. Immediately following graduation, Michael attended Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, graduating in 2006 with a Juris Doctor degree. During his law school years, Michael worked as a judicial extern for The Honorable Judge Candace Beason as well as The Honorable Judge Michelle Rosenblatt. As a judicial extern, Michael assisted the bench officers with researching and opining on law and motion hearings and settlement conferences.
Prior to joining Phillips, Lerner, Lauzon & Jamra, Michael further developed his legal experience by focusing on the entertainment and music industry. His experience included working in the business and legal affairs department of eLabs at Universal Music Group and for the Law Offices of Lisa E. Socransky where Michael drafted complex transactional agreements for the firm's diverse entertainment clientele.
Periodically, Michael co-authors with Stacy D. Phillips bi-monthly articles on groundbreaking family law cases for a monthly family law magazine-California Family Law Monthly-a publication disseminated to the California family law community.
