Grace A. Jamra is a seasoned family law lawyer who always knew that dispute resolution and being a tenacious litigator would be the mainstay of her career.

Named a partner in 2001, she brings to Phillips, Lerner, Lauzon & Jamra the distinction of being a first-class litigator and negotiator endowed with the ability to work with clients in complex, high-asset cases in the fields of dissolution, paternity, palimony, guardianship and adoption.

Ms. Jamra joined the firm in September of 1997 as an associate. Prior to her affiliation with the firm, she was an associate in the Bel Air ( California ) law office of a family law specialist, concentrating in family law issues and related family tax matters.

Her background in economics and finance, coupled with her child custody and advocacy litigation expertise, enable her to handle the issues associated with intricate child custody and financial matters including sophisticated business ventures.

Ms. Jamra has written several articles relating to her area of practice, which have been published in the Los Angeles Daily Journal, California Lawyer and other legal trades. She has also spoken on numerous family law issues before various professional groups.

A graduate of Whittier College with a bachelor's degree in economics and political science, Ms. Jamra received her juris doctor degree from Whittier College School of Law. She has been recognized for her contributions and accomplishments in the field of family law by Strathmore's Who's Who (Millennium Edition). Of Armenian/Lebanese descent, she lived abroad and traveled extensively prior to permanently moving to the United States at the age of 18. A member of the American, California, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Armenian Bar Associations, she has practiced exclusively in the area of family law since her admission to the bar in 1992.

Ms. Jamra is the founder and president of the Whittier Alumni Network and served for several terms on the Whittier College Alumni Board of Directors. She has previously served on the boards of the Los Angeles Women's Clinic and Family Counseling Center , Free Arts for Abused Children, and other cultural and charitable organizations. Ms. Jamra has been nominated and named by her peers as one of Los Angeles Magazine's Southern California 's Super Lawyers since 2003. Ms. Jamra is AV-rated by the Martindale-Hubbell Registry.
